FEATURES · OWNERSHIP

Your site lives in your accounts

Typeroll publishes to a GitHub repository and a Cloudflare account that you own, whether you use Typeroll Cloud or host the CMS yourself.

YOUR GITHUB

The source is in your repository

Each site gets its own private GitHub repository in the account you connect; a personal GitHub account works too.

The build runs Astro and publishes static files to Cloudflare Pages in your Cloudflare account, with media in your own R2 storage.

Publishing to Cloudflare

The GitHub account connected for publishing, with a private repository for each site and its branches.

NO LOCK-IN

Your sites stay if you leave

Typeroll Cloud does not host your website; it publishes to your accounts. If Cloud access ends, your deployed sites, repositories, media and domains stay where they are, and you keep read and export access for 90 days.

SELF-HOSTING

Run the same CMS yourself

Typeroll CMS is open source under the MIT licence. Run it on your own infrastructure, with the same MCP server and API as in Typeroll Cloud.

Export any site as a JSON archive and build it with the open-source renderer. The archive holds the site’s pages, templates and settings; media files and form submissions are not included.
